Subclass 190 – Skilled Nominated Visa

Skilled Nominated Visa 190 allows the nominated skilled workers to stay and work in Australia. It’s a points-tested visa. Skilled employees nominated by the Australian state/territory government can apply for visa 190. Every State or Territory Government publishes a list of occupation in which workers of different skills are required. This is the State Nominated visa that invites the nominated skilled workers to live and work in Australia permanently.

Process

Apply for the Skilled Nominated Visa 190 by following a few steps. You must;

Check your eligibility to apply for visa 190 by selecting an occupation on the relevant skilled list.
Gather the required documents
Submit your Expression of Interest (EOI)
Get your invitation from the Department of Home Affairs to apply for visa 190
Apply for visa 190 within 60 days from the date of your invitation

Processing Time

75% of applications take 20 months to get processed.
90% of applications take 31 months to be finalized.

The Department of Home Affairs processes all applications for Australian visas. You must submit complete documents with your visa application. Applications with incomplete documents might take longer processing time than usual.

Eligibility

The Department of Home Affairs has set particular criteria for visa 189. To apply for Skilled Nominated Visa – Subclass 190, you must;

Have an occupation on the relevant skilled list
Have a valid and positive skills assessment for the occupation you’ve chosen
Be invited to apply for Skilled Nominated Visa 190
Be able to score at least 65 points in the points test.
Be nominated by the Australian state/territory government.
Be under 45 years of age.
Have competent English at least
Meet health and character requirements
Have paid all debts back to the Australian Government if there’re any.

Cost

Skilled Nominated Visa – Subclass 190 costs nearly AUD 4,115. There’ll be separate charges for each family member applying with you.
